Urban Artivists Academy is an intensive training program that trains talented young actors and writers to utilize their artistic talent as tools for social activism.

Through narrative storytelling we create opportunities for further understanding, challenging traditional stereotyped portrayals and building bridges between cultural and racial divides amongst youth.

Our mission extends from the urgent necessity to meet the challenge of increasing the number responsible representations of Multi-cultural Ethnicities in film and television by educating content creators about the importance of stories that creatively aid and benefit their collective community.

Urban Artivists Academy previously, Urban Actors Academy celebrated its first residency in the fall of 2007 at The Life Academy of Film and Music located in Brooklyn, New York and has worked with schools throughout the five boroughs including The JFK High School for Digital Communications in the Bronx and The Academy for Social Action in the Harlem
